A free demo version of Light Cycle Duel Deluxe is now available, which was published in ZZAP! 64 Micro Action Issue #22.

Significant changes in this version:

• Switched P1 keyboard control to use Space instead of Left Shift for boost, due to conflict reading Left Shift & Right Shift as separate keys when both are pressed.
• Added more "get ready" phrases
• IRQ Debug added (probably not interesting to most, but this can be enabled by pressing CTRL-left arrow)
• Various bugfixes

Upcoming releases:

Light Cycle Duel Deluxe 1.1 will be released soon.   This release will consist of improvements to sound & music, optimizations, bugfixes and introduction of "Bitty" (similar to the Bit in Tron).  Bitty has replaced the bee sprite on title screen, and is planned to be a part of gameplay in LCD Deluxe 1.2.   Other changes in 1.2 include bot logic improvements & additional title screen music.  

1.2 is planned to be the "final" version, barring any bugfixes.  There will likely be a price increase for 1.2.  Those who have already purchased the game will be able to upgrade for free, of course.
