PET Light Cycles

The classic Light Cycle game for one or two players.  Avoid crashing to win 5 rounds before the other player.  Each round is faster than the previous.  Hold fire button for turbo boost.  There's one catch: no turns are allowed while boosting.

Select player mode by pressing left/right on controls.  This can be either the joysticks, or keys A/D and 4/6.  In single player mode, three difficulty levels are available.  Press keys 1,  2, and 3 to select difficulty.

Version 1.1 now fully supports both 40 and 80-column PETs.  The game assumes that 40-col machines use the "graphics" keyboard, and 80-col machines use the "business" keyboard.  For the rare PET where this isn't the case, a keyboard toggle can be used at the title screen by pressing "K". 

8K PET users should use the "2001-8" version, which has support for 80-col/business keyboard stripped out to save memory.

Note: The "SPT-TRON" BASIC program is included for historical reasons.  This was the original version of the game, written on my MiniPET.   It only supports dual joystick interface controls, keyboard controls do not work.
